We are delighted to announce that GTG Training has been named as 'Training Provider of the Year' at the annual IMI Skillmiles awards. The event took place last month at the Grand Connaught rooms in London to celebrate and recognise excellence in the automotive sector. The event was attended by leaders of the motor industry, as well as celebrities such as BBC F1 presenter Suzi Perry and Olympic rower and gold medallist Mark Hunter.

Presented by HRH Prince Michael of Kent, the Skillmiles awards acknowledge the work of businesses and individuals who contribute their time and resources to promoting the skills agenda and who work alongside the IMI to encourage change within the automotive sector.

Representing GTG Training on the night was Jon Douglass, General Manager of GTG West Midlands. He commented, "For GTG to win the Skillmiles award in the Training Provider category is a great honour, but a fitting reward for the contribution in kind that GTG has offered to further the development of people in the Automotive Industry.

We are very proud to have won this award despite being up against some very stiff competition. The IMI is constantly recognising and rewarding those that have contributed their time, resources and effort to progressing others within the automotive industry, and we look forward to continuing to work with them."

Other winners on the night included Jaguar Land Rover, Kwik Fit, Derby College and Würth UK.
